Completion of the paved pedestrian path circling the interior of the park
Touhy Park is a well-loved public space. During nice weather, the path is used by residents of all ages for walking and for the children to ride the bikes safely. The paved path winds around the park but fails to make a complete circuit. In its current state, the path can be hazardous as traffic ensues with pedestrians and bike riders at the ends of the path when they turn around to continue in the opposite direction. Completing the paving of the path would allow for a safer and more enjoyable space for everyone to enjoy. The Touhy Park Advisory Council has approved the project.
